Laurence Kotler-Berkowitz Joins Rosov Consulting as Director of Survey Research

Rosov Consulting is excited to welcome Laurence Kotler-Berkowitz to the team as our new Director of Survey Research, beginning July 29, 2021. Laurence comes to us after 20 years as Senior Director of Research and Director of the Berman Jewish DataBank at the Jewish Federations of North America. Those of you who have worked with Laurence over the years know that he is a world-class methodologist and thoughtful data analyst, and he possesses a wealth of knowledge about the Jewish communal world.

Outside of Laurence’s work at JFNA, he is currently the vice president of the Association for the Social Scientific Study of Jewry. He also served as an adviser to the Pew Research Center on their 2013 and 2020 studies of American Jews and to the American Jewish Year Book. Laurence’s research and writing has focused on American Jews, including political behavior, ethnic cohesion, poverty and economic vulnerability, and Jewish education.

Laurence received a PhD in political science, an MA in modern Jewish society and politics, and a BA in political science and Judaic studies from Brown University. He also received an MA in Jewish communal service from Brandeis University. He is originally from Maryland and now lives with his family in Waltham, MA, outside Boston.
