Alex Pomson Promoted to Principal & Managing Director
Rosov Consulting today announced that Alex Pomson, Ph.D., has been promoted to Principal & Managing Director. Pomson has been with the firm for more than six years.

Pomson’s new role includes increased oversight in the strategy and direction of the company, along with increased opportunities for thought leadership in the fields in which he works. He will also continue to serve as Managing Director of Rosov Consulting Israel.
Pomson is internationally regarded for his research in areas that include the life course of Jewish families, teachers’ lives and work, and Israel education. He is the co-author of the books, Jewish Family: Identity and Self-Formation at Home, released last year, and of Back to school: Jewish day school as a source of meaning in the lives of adult Jews. He is also co-editor of Jewish schools, Jewish communities: a reconsideration and of the International handbook of Jewish education.
His past and current work at Rosov Consulting includes evaluations for Masa Israel Journey, Onward Israel, Kayitz Kef, the New York Teen Initiative, and many studies in the Jewish day school context for the AVI CHAI Foundation (including Hearts and Minds: Israel in North American Jewish Day Schools and Hebrew for What?: Hebrew at the Heart of Jewish Day Schools).
Prior to joining Rosov Consulting, Alex was a Senior Researcher at the Melton Centre for Jewish Education at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He served as founding Head of Jewish Studies at the King Solomon High School, and was the Koschitzky Family Chair in Jewish Teacher Education at York University, Toronto, where he coordinated York’s Jewish Teacher Education Programme. He is a past chair of the Network for Research in Jewish Education and is on the editorial board of the Journal of Jewish Education.
Alex trained in History at the University of Cambridge. He received his PhD in Religious Education from the University of London, where he qualified as a teacher. He is an alumnus of the Jerusalem Fellows.
